# 37. Baby Eagle: Dog Weather

I’ve seen Steven Lambke (aka Baby Eagle), perform before. It was an awesome opening set for Daniel, Fred and Julie at the Mount A Chapel here in Sackville.  That was one of my first introductions to Sackville and the crazy amount of whimsical and musical talent it contained. Baby Eagle blew away with his songs. His kind of rambling Dylan-esque lyrics delivered like an uncaring punk version of Neil Young. But it wasn’t until this weekend past, that I got to see Baby Eagle in its full band glory.  Just listen to this album and you can imagine that it translates wonderfully on a bar room stage.  Some electric country -folk followed up by some hard hitting rock songs, left me wanting more. Luckily, Dog Weather delivers on all fronts, with a wide range of songs and great lyrics that I’ll be listening closely for over the next little while.  I’ll be much more familiar with these tunes the next time Baby Eagle takes the stage and I can’t wait.
