# 54. The Kinks: Something Else

This is another fantastic album. These guys contain elements of rock and roll, pop, folk and psychedelia all rolled into one to make for an interesting and progressive band.  A lot of people may only know certain Kinks songs and  tunes like “Lola” and “Come Dancing,” but they have so much more to offer. I only recognize a couple of songs on “Something Else” but the deep cuts (and there are a lot of them) are as good or better than any of their hits. There are 21 songs on this record and they are all varied and exciting as it’s hard to know what they’ll do next. It’s also hard to narrow down a couple of highlight tracks, but here you go.

Highlights: “Waterloo Sunset”  “Death Of A Clown
