This group was not only my first introduction to this record label, (which happens to be the best label in the country) they were also my first introduction to my current home of Sackville. I caught a show of theirs a few years back after shortly moving away from NL and I was instantly impressed by their voices and songwriting. I’ve since gone on to swoon over their individual accolades and have sopped up their solo material which all rank high as some of my favourite albums. It’s odd that I’m only now listening to this album in its entirety. This record should now be existing amongst the rich folk canon of Canada’s folk music and it’s possibly the most beautiful and authentic folk recording I’ve ever heard. You owe it to yourself to give this album a thorough listen.
