# 92. Chad Pelley: 10 Rough-Draft Songs

Chad Pelley is from St. John’s, NL and is an award winning writer and author of the novel, Away From Everywhere. Chad is also another participant in this years RPM challenge.  What he has come up with in 20 days is more than admirable; an album full of thoughtful lyrics, gently strummed acoustic, well-placed solos and drums. From someone who claims he can’t play some of these instruments, he could have fooled me.  The instruments are well played and you can picture, hear and feel that these songs were recorded at home. The home recorded feel of this recording is what makes it great. It’s authentic as hell and some of the lyrics and vocal stylings are reminiscent of a favourite musician of mine, Andrew Sisk. I look forward to more from one of NL’s literary treasures.
