# 113. Dan Mangan: Oh Fortune

This album from one of my favourite artists is one I’ve been meaning to listen to for awhile and it doesn’t disappoint although it is a serious departure sonically from his previous releases.  Rather than stripped down and easily accessible pop – folk tunes, Oh Fortune delves into eclectic arrangements with a plethora of instruments.  Mangans gruff vocals and thoughtful lyrics are still there and i believe this is a huge step forward for one of Canada’s bright stars.
